SHREK THE MUSICAL
Presented by Wildwood Park for the Arts
November 13-22, 2026

Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie; Caroline, or Change) and a sidesplitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire. Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage and proves there’s more to the story than meets the ears.

“Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek….” And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there’s one on hand… and his name is Shrek.

Irreverently fun for the whole family, Shrek proves that beauty is truly in the eye of the ogre.

This is an indoor performance in Wildwood’s Cabe Festival Theater. To book wheelchair accessible seating or to book for large groups, please reach out to us at finance@wildwoodpark.org.

About the Show:
Singin’ in the Rain SR. has all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline – the starlet, the leading man and a love affair that could change lives and make or break careers! In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item but, behind the scenes, things aren’t always as they appear on the big screen! Meanwhile, Lina’s squeaky voice might be the end of her career in “talking pictures” without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her.

This accessible, 60-minute version in Singin’ in the Rain SR. is a faithful and loving adaptation of the “Greatest Movie Musical of All Time.”

Filled with a downpour of unforgettable songs, hilarious situations, and snappy dialogue make Singin’ in the Rain SR. the perfect entertainment for any fan of the golden age of movie musicals.
